Win Now Sports Analytics Blog is open to conversation
Is it possible the Buffalo Sabres have referred to this site after receiving a post card with this site message on it? 80% of all goals scored in the National Hockey League are scored from within twenty feet of the net space. Visit www.winnow.us for more details. Tell all the players to shoot only from inside twenty feet. Just after those post cards were sent to the head coach and the GM, the Sabres began to win. What is more significant is when you review where the goals were scored for it was within twenty feet of the net.

We are seeing more injuries to top players at both the college and pro level. The fourth pillar of the Win Now Performance Matrix is player safety. This falls directly on the coaching staff and needs to addressed with a league wide program of understanding. It is not an unreasonable request by players to have their safety become the focus of the coaching staff and leagues.
It is easy to determine when players are most a risk and how to reduce the risk for the data. I would welcome the opportunity to contribute to the safety of every player by running the matrix for any team.

Understand this Bills Fans. There is really only one way the Buffalo Bills can win this season. That would be by scoring more points than their opponents. Seems simple enough. The behind the scenes planning and analytic reviews will be the key to scoring more points.
I have an understanding from reading between the lines of what is being said by the coaches, that they are studying very hard, and will be for every game. In the past we have heard you can't change your game plan during the game. With a specific approach to each teams weakness in a multitude of areas, it won't mean changing the plans, just fully implementing them.
Putting this in everyday terms, the team could decide to press the running game, in several areas of the field in several different ways. They may run it as long as they can. They may also have short pass variations of the run game.
It will all be in the application of winning algorithms, with minute by minute and play by play recalculations or variations. The side of the field and the depth of the patterns will all be very fluid so the Bills can adjust and react, with the other teams defensive player positions. The flow of the game could change very fast, if this becomes their approach.
From the few words that are being said, this team is preparing to win this season.

The training camps will begin soon. The players will begin the process of becoming game ready. The coaching staff will as well.
We are not hearing it is a process this year. We are not hearing we are a few players short. What we are hearing is the team is preparing doing what they do best.
It appears from an analytics view, it possible they could. If they used their players in the best way they are capable of playing, and keep the same players in shape and injury aware and free, they just might.
It appears the Bills coaching staff is using have a practical approach to the game. If they have the runners run, and the blockers block it could happen. All to often in the past the team took what worked and changed it to what doesn't work. This year it appears they are saying we will expand what does work and eliminate what does not work. If that happens we are in for a Wild and exciting Win Now season it appears to this writer.

The New Era in Buffalo has begun with more than a new name on the stadium. The Buffalo Bills have turned the page on the past several years, with their new staff from GM to head coach.
The difference is in the way the conversation is evolving. When we read between the lines, and here things from the head coach like " we are going to offer every player the opportunity to do what they do best", what is really being said?
As a wordsmith and analytics expert it is a subtle signal that this team is turning to modern technology to be sure they have the best opportunity to win every game.
As sport fans in Buffalo we know football. The game changed and until now we have been reactive. It seems from what is being said we have suddenly become, proactive.
If this stuff truly is able to work like they are suggesting, and they position every player on the team to perform at their highest level, well let's get the season started.

Win Now Analytics
It has now been three years since I first introduced Win Now Hockey Analytics in a custom format for the team. It happened first in the Stanley Cup playoffs against Chicago after their second consecutive loss. The result was the Wild won the next two games.
The following year the Wild faced the St. Lewis Blues and again they were given a custom application for defeating the Blues. The won that series. Until now the Black Hawks have stopped them every time. This year will be the exception. Minnesota has the highest probability of winning as the approach the playoffs and the highest scoring capability through what appears to be an embedded analytics approach.
The goal with win now analytics is to assist all sports teams and franchises in the Wester New York Region benefit from this analytics approach. This begins with the Buffalo Sabres and the Buffalo Bills, then the colleges and high schools in the region.
This can be achieved with contact at this site for a complimentary team, coach and player introduction. Call or contact us at this site or at email@example.com
With analytics as they are in sports today, every team can know high probability events. One example of this is taking a high probability event and find several, then stack them. An example might be that seventy five percent of the time the team you are playing looses when it has more penalty minutes than the team they play. That becomes one event you might stack for your game plan.
Another example might be when the opposing team has the ball longer then they do on offense, they loose. By stacking events that are statically available, seven ways four times, the probability of winning can be as high as 98.5 % if all events are kept in mind and successfully performed during the game.
The second pillar of Win Now Analytics is called probability stacking. I would like to ask if there was a 93-97% chance of winning a game simply by stacking high probility events would you want to be aware of these events and stack them?
I have instructed NHL, MAC Conference football teams and now an NFL football analytic coach on the approach. This approach works in every sport from the little league Bantam Hockey team to the NHL, NFL and MAC conference football.
